Arts In Action is a yearly festival on the Port Angeles City Pier. This event features arts and crafts from all over the peninsula, along with food, live music, and many booths. There is also a classic car show, and a sand sculpture competition.

Every year, there is a new theme. For the year this poster was made for, the theme was "Under the Sea". All of the entries in the sand sculpture build-off had to relate to the ocean. This poster followed suit, with underwater colors, bubbles, fish, and even a mermaid. This colorful poster attracted passer-by's to come see the festival.
